This post highlights the latest updates and new features of Matrix themes. If you're still building websites with Jimdo in 2025, you'll be thrilled to know that I continuously enhance Matrix themes to bridge the gap with leading website builders like Duda, Squarespace, Wix, and Webflow as my primary goal is to keep your website modern, high-performing, and visually stunning.

Over 30 new widgets have been added to the "Shortcodes" section. Additionally, many existing widgets have been redesigned for a more modern look, and some now come with multiple variations.

There are 20 new pre-made block sections with full-width elements and other enhancements to improve design flexibility and usability.

I've added 30 completely new fluid sections with drag-and-drop functionality and resizing capabilities. The new widgets now include percentage values when resizing, making them much more responsive-friendly and adaptable to different screen sizes. This enhancement ensures smoother design customization and better mobile compatibility.

When you update your website with the latest release of 'matrix.js' available in the "Updates" section, you'll discover the updated admin menu, which now includes a new "Animations" section. In this section, I’ve organized all animations, widgets and plugins in one place, including:

1. Global Animations
2. Custom Animations
3. Folded Animations
4. Custom Tag Animations
5. Scroll Animations
6. Sticky Animations
7. Animated Links
8. Animated Titles
9. Animated Buttons
10. Floating Animations

This makes it easier than ever to manage and implement animations across your site!

The "Media Library" is another new section in the admin menu, where you'll find all the media resources for your widgets. This includes stock images, wireframes, blobs, shapes, masks, and patterns, making it easier to access and integrate media elements into your website design.

The add-ons include additional plugins for the Matrix themes, some of which have been slightly modified, others updated, and some are completely new, such as Toast notifications. These add-ons enhance the functionality and user experience of your website, providing more customization options.

The fine print: As you can see, many new features and updates have been collected over the last 3 months. I hope you'll enjoy them and find them useful for your website. Once again, I'd like to remind you that to update your website with the latest release, you'll need to update the following:

1. The latest JS file, matrix.js
2. The latest CSS components
3. The JS code of the style editor, which ensures that elements are calculated correctly when resizing them
